This child has a tracheostomy, G-tube, and ventilator, making this an excellent opportunity for a nurse interested in developing or strengthening pediatric high-acuity skills. Paid, hands-on training is provided to help you feel prepared and confident.

What You’ll Do

As the child’s dedicated 1:1 nurse, you’ll provide the skilled care and support needed to keep them safe, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day.

Responsibilities may include:

• Tracheostomy and ventilator care
• G-tube care and feedings
• Medication administration and treatments
• Monitoring the child’s condition
• Recognizing and responding to changes
• Communicating with the family and Castor clinical team
• Completing required nursing documentation
• Providing compassionate and dependable care

What You’ll Need

• Active Illinois RN or LPN license
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• A compassionate and dependable approach
• An interest in working one-on-one with a pediatric patient

New Graduate? We’d Love to Meet You!

Previous private duty nursing experience is not required. Castor provides paid, hands-on training so you can become comfortable with the child’s trach, G-tube, ventilator, and individualized plan of care before working independently.
